The Board Approves Student Dress Code Changes

The Bryan ISD Board of Trustees approved a change to the student code of conduct on July 17 to allow untucked shirts and shorts/skirts at the mid-thigh level instead of the knees.

More Info About 2017-2018 Dress Code Changes:
  1. Shirts can now be untucked if they do NOT extend past the tip of the longest finger when a student's hand is fully extended down the side of the student's leg.
  2. Dresses, shorts, skirts and skorts are now acceptable if they are mid-thigh length or longer.
Note: The two dress code changes outlined in the link posted above are the only changes to the 2016-2017 dress code approved at the July 17 Board meeting. The complete 2017-2018 dress code including the two changes can be found on Pg. 35 of the 2017-2018 Student Handbook at the following link: http://www.bryanisd.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=540582&type=d&pREC_ID=378441.
